M&S Technical Activity Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Activity Manager to work onsite at Marks & Spencer Head Office in Paddington, London.  

Job Description

 

The Technical Activity Manager (TAM) is responsible for category specific day to day service delivery to M&S and support to the M&S teams.

 

This includes:

  • Management of progression through all Legal Labelling Advisory & Approval Service Provider (LLAASP) activity, route identification pre-Product Attributes Log (PAL) completion, regulatory advisory service level requirements, (title confirmation and feedback, specification submission, review and approval, International Pack Copy (IPC) creation, artwork review and Post Implementation Review (PIR)).
  • Identification of correct product routing through LLAASP approval (Collaborative, Minor Amends, Multiple Products, Spec Only etc).
  • Responsible for the Regulatory Advisory process including; determining the requirement for and format of a Regulatory Advice Meeting/Regulatory Review.
  • Ensure timely completion by the Regulatory Team and circulation, of the Regulatory Advice Feedback notes to, Techs and Suppliers and Product Developers.
  • Facilitate the resolution of technical and regulatory issues arising from the Regulatory Advice Meeting/Regulatory Review by liaising with regulatory affairs and relevant technologists.
  • Compilation and circulation of performance & status reporting as agreed with M&S categories.
  • Participation in category artwork meetings and improving/assisting communications between the internal LLAASP teams, suppliers and M&S categories.
  • Ensure suppliers are clear on their requirements and facilitate timely performance management and support of suppliers through the Ashbury Supplier Performance and Communication Technologist.

Accountabilities

  • The Technical Activity Manager is accountable for the successful direction and progression of all products through the correct LLAASP route and for the success of the spec, pack copy and artwork approval process.
  • The Technical Activity Manager is responsible for the clear communication of the above within M&S and Ashbury.

Skill Set and Experience

 

The Technical Activity Manager will have the knowledge and confidence to allow them to act as a ‘Foods Stage and Gate’ subject matter expert for both M&S and Ashbury.

 

They will have project management and client management experience with a technical background /understanding.

 

They are able to identify commercial opportunities for cost and time savings and are able to push progress and deliver results.

 

They are able to communicate effectively across all levels of M&S and Ashbury.
