Technical Assistant

This exciting position provides an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and enthusiastic Food Technical Assistant to work with a leading food retailer to deliver strategic technical and quality performance.

Salary: £20-£23K

The role will be based at our client’s site, and will require project management experience and an ability to work autonomously on multiple projects, while keeping all stakeholders informed on progress. The successful candidate will also be required to use their knowledge and skills to deliver efficient and innovative technical solutions in developing technical management systems and managing external data provision.

Purpose

Provide admin support for the Trading area technical clusters to support Governance and trading area technical projects

Responsibilities

 

– Contact Management on Connect ensuring we have up to date contacts for our suppliers as informed by the M&S technologist or from notification by suppliers

– Scheduling of Monday Customer Contact reports (GII) and circulating to team

– Formatting of Monday Customer Contact reports to produce summary of raw data

– Routine and adhoc complaints reports at the request of the technologists for the area to supplier visits, check KPI reports

– Supporting the FTC to produce monthly KPI sheet for each cluster

– Organising and providing necessary support for QC sessions including scheduling, completing the forms e.g. UPC information

– Quality contracts – tracking, filling, scanning and reporting Trading area progress to FTC

– Attendance at 1/4ly Governance meetings to log actions in standard Governance template and file

– KPI and supplier visit report filing

– Support the technologists in follow up and chasing outstanding Governance

– Support the technologists to work with RCS on reallocation of unknown complaints

– Support for cross group Food Technology events and trading area specific events inc. CPD days, supplier workshops, supplier conference which may include registration on the day and managing responses to the event for Trading Area

– TM Specific admin support for Trading Area specific projects e.g. trackers, FIND searches, support in a crisis

– Training support/IT systems help e.g. pivot tables
